BlizzCon 2009: More on Guild Leveling

by on August 22, 2009

BlizzCon 2009

During the Game Systems Panel, Blizzard released more information regarding Guild advancements and Guild leveling. Guilds will gain experience through players leveling, killing bosses, earning reputation, PvP victories, and leveling professions to name a few. Each guild level will earn the guild one talent point to spend on a guild-wide talent. Some guild-wide talents include, getting increased gold drops, raid-wide summoning, mass resurrection capabilities, lower repair bills, and transfering a percentage of gold from boss kills to the guild’s gbank. Guild talents can be reset. Once your guild reaches level 20, experience is transfered to currency, similiar to when a character reaches max level. This currency can be used to purchase mounts, profession recipes, banners, rare reagents, potions, and guild talent respecs. The profession recipes are specific to the guild. Anyone within the guild can learn the guild specific profession recipes, however, if they leave the guild they lose the recipes, with the recipes being transfered back to the gbank.
