Segment 4 – E-mail/Q&A

Josemi sez,

Hey guys:

I was listening to episode 48 the other day because I had never finished listening to it, when I heard Gill say something about people that download the podcast from 5 different places, including Puerto Rico, and asked for these people to contact him. Now, I’m not sure if I’m the person from PR he was referring to, but I’ve been downloading your podcast for about 4-5 months now, so I figured it could be me. If it’s not, then add me to the list.

As I said, I’ve been downloading your podcast for a few months now. I listen to a few other WoW podcasts, but was looking for some additional ones when I stumbled into yours on the Itunes Store. It’s refreshing in that you both seem to speak from an everyday, regular WoW player perspective. In that way, it compliments the others I listen to.

So, greetings from Puerto Rico and keep up the excellent work.

At the end of the episodes, you were complaining about the lack of a mobile auction house-app for Android phones.

Actually, Blizzard does publish an official “Remote Auction House”-app for Android, it can be found on the Android Market (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.blizzard.wow&feature=search_result) as well as the official WoW site (http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/services/wow-remote/). An official authenticator program can be downloaded as well (https://market.android.com/details?id=com.blizzard.bma&feature=search_result).

What is still missing is the mobile armory, which allows viewing of armory data on the phone.

Thanks Frank! Yeah, I thought Gill was referring to the Mobile Armory. Because they charge for the Remote Auction House service, they had more of an incentive to develop the Android app, I suppose. 🙂

  3. Looking for fancy tooltip like popups for links on your site? Then look no further! Wowhead has a special code snippit you can use to add Wowhead like tool tips to your site.

I am currently using them on a blog I am developing. They work great.

Thanks Ryshat! I’m going to check these out this week (finally)…would love to implement this.

Sadly, since WordPress hosts our blog, we aren’t allowed to do javascript (unless I’m reading the support site wrong).

Still, I should go through and add the html code to the existing achievments and stuff. 🙂
